Three clear paths to better sleep

🌙

Insomnia — CBT-I

Can't fall asleep? Waking at 3am? CBT-I is the gold-standard, non-medication treatment for chronic insomnia. We work together systematically to retrain your sleep patterns and the thoughts that keep you awake.

CPAP Support

CPAP is proven therapy—but only if you can actually wear it. I specialize in desensitization and adherence coaching to help you get comfortable with your device and make it work in your real life.

What people say

I used to feel anxious and overwhelmed when I woke up in the middle of the night. Now, I'm able to stay calm and use the tools I learned instead of worrying about the next day. My sleep has improved, and I feel much more at ease with it overall.

— Client

I struggled with many sleep difficulties before starting treatment. Batya is both highly professional and empathetic, with deep knowledge of all aspects of sleep. Today, my sleep is much better—and just as importantly, I'm far less worried about it than I was before.

— Client, 60s

Instead of waking up every two hours, I now sleep for 3–4 hour chunks and feel much more rested in the morning.

A practical approach to sleep—grounded in occupational therapy

Batya Katzir · MOT, OTR/L · CBT-I Trained

I'm an occupational therapist specializing in sleep, helping adults who are struggling with insomnia or CPAP use to find a more steady and workable way forward.

My approach combines evidence-based sleep treatment, including CBT-I, with a focus on daily routines, environment, and real-life implementation. Many people are given strategies for sleep, but not the support needed to apply them consistently. My work is to help bridge that gap.

I work with individuals who feel frustrated by difficulty falling asleep, waking during the night, or ongoing fatigue that affects their day-to-day life. Together, we develop a structured, practical plan that fits within your routines and supports long-term change.

I hold a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University and am licensed in both Israel and the United States.

Sleep is not just a biological process—it is part of how we live.

When sleep is disrupted, it affects everything: energy, mood, focus, relationships, and the ability to engage in daily life. Many people are given advice, medication, or equipment, but are left without the guidance needed to make those tools actually work in the context of their lives.

That's where my approach is different. I help people improve their sleep using evidence-based approaches, including CBT-I, combined with an occupational therapy perspective. We don't just focus on sleep itself—we look at the full picture.

My role is to help you navigate that space with clarity, structure, and support—so that sleep becomes something steady and reliable again.
